Christoph Haizmann a Bavarian artist who reported selling his soul to the Devil. Haizmann claimed to be possessed multiple times after until he committed suicide. He was a painter working in Austria and he made nine paintings that illustrated his encounters with the Devil. In the first painting, the Devil has four breasts and talons. In the second the Devil, holding the apple of temptation and smoking a pipe, exhibits human features, including multiple breasts, as well as the features of a goat. These image comes from The Devil Within: Possession and Exorcism in the Christian West by Brian P. Levack. Haizmann, is known for his autobiographical paintings of his own demonic possession was the object of study by Sigmund Freud. His depiction of the Devil with womenÍs breast may come from sermons of the DevilÍs appearance.
